World Heritage Weeks

The Sharjah Institute for Heritage launched the World Heritage Weeks program in January 2016 to celebrate the heritage of a new brotherly and friendly countries every month by showing examples of their cultural heritage.

The Heritage Weeks activities are held at the Cultural Heritage Center in the West House. Traditional handicrafts, folklore, traditional cooking, folk games, and other related heritage of peoples and host countries are reviewed.

Since its inception, the program has hosted many countries around the world and celebrated their rich cultural heritage in 2016 and 2017.
